How is a product made? What even is a “product?”
Devices, tools, machines – our products go by different names and often fall into more than one category.
Product development starts with an idea – we often create those with Ping! In line with Design Thinking and with the help of Extended Prototyping, we then aim to create the first prototype quickly. This is followed by multiple iterations, a trial- or small batch, and finally, the serial production and market introduction.
From idea to market – we love product development. We demand and support teamwork on every level: in our team, with customers in workshops, and across our extended network. Together we develop products that often break the traditional mold. We love complexity, and we regularly challenge ourselves to discover the most simple solution to the most complex problem.
We’re proud to develop products for a variety of industries. Enjoy a peek into some of the main industries we work with below.
We are consumers – all of us.
Every day, we’re in touch with dozens, maybe hundreds of consumer products. We live in a consumer society – no way around it. But what can we do to at least minimize the footprint our consumerism leaves behind?
Find out what we do at Gimelli:
In the medical sector, we focus on devices that help patients and caregivers.
For patients, the goal is to receive the necessary treatments in the most comfortable way. For caregivers, the focus is on enabling them to provide high-quality care and efficient treatments thanks to new, innovative equipment.
How does Gimelli Engineering contribute to those goals?
BioTech is a broad term – and many people struggle to define it clearly.
At Gimelli Engineering, we design and develop BioTech products in two main categories: for the production of medication and for the research and production of artificial meat.
Confused yet? Don’t worry – keep reading, it’ll all make sense:
“Industry” has a ring of “heavy machinery” to it.
We do that, too – but our focus on industry is much broader than “just” on heavy machinery.
What else do we produce for industrial clients?
“Coffee makes the world go round.”
By now, coffee is the world’s second most traded commodity – and a constant companion for many of us all day long.
At Gimelli, we love consuming coffee. But we go way beyond that: We also optimize coffee consumption for others.
And coffee is only the beginning of all the wonderful things we design and create around the topic of food & beverage.
Sustainable Thinking is a great starting point!
But what comes after the idea? At Gimelli Engineering, the answer is Sustainable Engineering. Only if we’re able to maintain sustainability across the entire lifecycle of a product are we able to create meaningful leverage.
What’s our focus when it comes to Sustainable Engineering?
